Titanium connectors

Due to the geometric properties of carbon fiber, extension lengths less than 40 mm cannot be fabricated with this technology. Therefore, if lengths of less than 40 mm are required, connecting pieces are still available in titanium. However, these connecting pieces are not tubes but consist of solid material and therefore have no negative influence on the measurement result. Due to the poor properties of titanium extensions, longer titanium extensions are no longer used in modern measurement technology.
